Macau, November 28, 2019
Asia-Pacific Music Creators Alliance (APMA) affiliated music creators met in Macau and were pleased to see the rapid growth of a local authors’ society MACA celebrating its 10th anniversary. We congratulate MACA’s successful conclusion of a license contract with a local broadcaster after extensive negotiations with APMA’s full support, which is expected to bring fair remuneration to local and international creators.
Macau has great potential to be the trading center and culture exchange center for China and PSCs (the Portuguese-speaking countries), especially for the music industry. ThroughMacau, Chinese creators and musicians can trade their music in PSCs, while creators and musicians from PSCs can promote their music in China, and further through the Asia-Pacific, African and Central and Eastern European regions. We inviteMacau to be a hub for creative culture, to help drive the development of the globalmusic industry.
