Toshiyuki Watanabe

Composer, Arranger, Conductor

Toshiyuki Watanabe composes music across a wide range of genres including pops, film music, animation, orchestral music, and opera. He is also active as a conductor and arranger of pop music-style orchestra concerts.

He completed his Professional Diploma course at Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA and studied conducting at the Boston Conservatory. He also studied Hollywood-style orchestration and film music techniques under Dr. Albert Harris in Los Angeles.

Toshiyuki is currently a member of the Board of Directors at Japanese Society for Rights of Authors, Composers and Publishers (JASRAC), President of Japan Composers and Arrangers Association (JCAA), and President to Japan Federation of Authors and Composers Association (FCA).

Also devoted to teaching young people, he is Professor Emeritus at Senzoku Gakuen College of Music.
