Toshiyuki Watanabe
Composer, Arranger, Conductor
Toshiyuki Watanabe composes music across a wide range of genres including pops, film music, animation, orchestral music, and opera. He is also active as a conductor and arranger of pop music-style orchestra concerts.
He completed his Professional Diploma course at Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA and studied conducting at the Boston Conservatory. He also studied Hollywood-style orchestration and film music techniques under Dr. Albert Harris in Los Angeles.
Toshiyuki is currently a member of the Board of Directors at Japanese Society for Rights of Authors, Composers and Publishers (JASRAC), Vice-chairperson of Japan Composers and Arrangers Association (JCAA), Advisor to Japan Federation of Authors and Composers Association (FCA), and a full member of the Council for Cultural Affairs, which is an advisory council of the Japanese Agency for Cultural Affairs.
Also devoted to teaching young people, he is a visiting professor at Senzoku Gakuen College of Music.
